Who We Are
Welcome to our garden! We bought Misty Acres in July 2021 and quickly set about turning a long-held dream into reality. With nearly an acre of garden, we now grow beautiful, seasonal flowers in harmony with nature, supplying the local community with sustainably grown blooms.
Our ethos is simple: work with the land, not against it. We grow flowers in an eco-friendly way with a minimal carbon footprint, delivering only locally. Nothing goes to waste here — with eight large compost bins, around 80% of our compost is made on site, and anything we buy in is always peat-free.
We’ve recently added a large polytunnel, extending the growing season and allowing us to protect crops naturally. Water is a precious resource, so we harvest rainwater into six IBC tanks and eight water butts, which are used to irrigate the flower beds and reduce our reliance on mains water.
With a background in retail and the third sector, this business is a new adventure. Becky has always had a passion for flowers, and when the time and place felt right, she followed that dream. After completing floristry training at Plumpton Agricultural College, her style remains relaxed, romantic and fresh, with a love of scent — think old-fashioned roses, sweet peas, peonies and herbs woven through the foliage.
We hope you love the flowers as much as the bees do 🐝💐
Buy With Confidence! Your flowers:
Have been grown locally so have the minimal carbon footprint
Only peat free compost is used where needed but 80% of our compost we make on site
Are bee friendly! We have three hives in the cutting garden too
Only organic pest controls are used
No floral wire or floral foam used which cannot be composted or recycled
All wraps and packaging are recyclable
Your flowers have been conditioned before they were arranged and do not need any flower food if you give them a bit of TLC. If you change the water daily and revive any that are looking a bit sad by snipping the ends of the stem, your flowers will last 5-7 days.
